Our Cub Scout Pack caters for boys within the age range of 8 years to 101/2 years. Cub Packs usually divide their members up into small 'teams' of about six cubs called Sixes. Currently we have two Sixes - Blue and Green. Each six is led by an older cub called a Sixer who is supported by a Seconder.
Cub Scouting, by tradition, has adapted some ideas from Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. It is usual for the leaders to be known to the youngsters by the names of the animals in this book.
All new Cub Scouts make the Cub Scout Promise at their Investiture Ceremony - it is usual for parents and friends to be invited to attend this event.
